Today we more or less confirmed that the next version of Android will be called Ice Cream sandwich. We don't have the official icon yet, so we're using a lovely photo from Blue Bunny Ice Cream. Yummy! Please feel free to post any relevant new version info here as you would in any of the other forums.

Android will fix some of the issues we have seen in Honeycomb and that it will, like Eric Schmidt implied at MWC. Ice Cream sandwich merge everything into one branch for consistency, or bringing some sort of standardization to the platform, we can only hope Ice Cream Sandwich will deliver where previous versions haven?t. Any way the version number also not yet mentioned. It may be 4, or 3.1 or 2.4.

I couldn't tell what forum this was until I clicked on it. Thanks to this new design, it doesn't render properly in my Ff4 browser.

You may have to empty your cache and reload if you've got an old version suck up in there - works fine from several of our testers on ff4
